Elopements are so special to me, y'all. It just feels lovely and natural to do things your own way- to make your own rules and let go of silly superstitions and incorporate the traditions you really love, exactly the way you want- just as Lindsey and Dominic did when they eloped in charming little Highlands, North Carolina just before Thanksgiving. Originally, they were set to marry outside on the croquet lawn of the Old Edwards Inn- but the cold and the winds moved us inside, and they said their vows in front of a roaring fireplace instead, tucked away on a little farm with their closest loved ones to witness it all. It was beautiful and cozy and not at all what they'd planned- because it was even better.
