Virginia and Mark's Savannah elopement was the stuff of dreams- peaceful and pretty and full of deep meaning. There were no bridesmaids or catering mishaps or any of the stress that so many weddings can entail; instead, it was just the two of them + their officiant and myself, in a serene garden, nestled on one of the loveliest streets in Savannah. They eloped at the Gastonian, a Savannah bed-and-breakfast built in 1868 that's actually two houses adjoined by a courtyard and catwalk, and the whole place took my breath away from the moment I walked in the front door. I marveled at how sincerely happy the day felt- it was all just giddy smiles and laughter and the lilting music in the hallways. Virginia sipped champagne as she got ready, and Mark gifted her with a series of sweet handmade wooden boxes, filled with handsewn hearts and love notes tucked throughout. We took photos throughout the Inn, they shared a short but sweet ceremony in the garden, and then they were whisked away to a private dinner in a horsedrawn carriage, just the two of them. Peaceful, pretty, and perfect in every imperfect way. Virginia and Mark, thank you so very, very much for the honor of being by your side on your wedding day. Love and happiness to you both. xo, Krista
