"Well," Martin said, "want to buy a house?"
"Why, my goodness," I said finally. "Where'd you get such a crazy idea?"
"Good!" he shouted, and hugged the breath out of me. "Then we're going to Borneo!" - from I Married Adventure, by Osa Johnson.
I've been giddy about this wedding from my first emails with Callan- she's the kindest soul and the most peaceful bride, and I got the best feeling about them when we first sat down for coffee together so many months ago. They see life through a different lens- and to get to be a part of their wedding day the way I did felt like I was hitting the jackpot. (Remember?)
Their entire day felt like all of us- Callan and Ken, their families, their friends, even myself- were truly a part of something magical. She wore vintage boots made in 1905 that her dad had professionally fitted just for her. The rain that was supposed to drench us never even appeared. And every moment of the day was accompanied by the soundtrack of the forest's creek and waterfalls, literally at our toes and all around us. It was the most wonderful day, and I'm forever humbled to have been a part of it. Callan and Ken, thank you for everything. You married adventure- hold tight and have fun.
