The earlier hours on a wedding day are some of my favorite moments of each wedding I photograph. Even in the messiest hotel suites, there's a sweet peacefulness that hangs in the air. There's pampering and perfume and pretty things all around, and the anticipation of what's to come leaves a giddy smile on all of our faces. So bridal sessions? They're the best, and I love them so.
Rachel is getting married this fall, and when she asked about a bridal session instead of the usual engagement shoot, I jumped at the chance... and then, the icing on the cake: she wanted to wear not only her wedding dress, but her grandmother's dress too- vintage and stunning and the same dress even her mother wore. So we met in my favorite studio space in Atlanta, put on some Frank Sinatra, and pretended it was 1946 again- the year her grandparents were married. I'm in love with everything about this day, and I can't wait for Rachel and Jay's wedding in a few months. Rachel, you're the best! xo, Krista
