When you write your own rules, forge your own path, and throw tradition to the wind, the most beautiful things have room to happen. And what better occasion to set the tone of blazing your own trail than the start of your marriage?
Mignon and Alex were married on a sunny September day in the mountains. They reserved their entire venue, cabins and all, which is always my favorite thing- when your family and friends come together for a weekend, they all leave as friends, and the sense of community that builds from the days spent together is really something special. Mignon and Alex planned their wedding weekend in Hiawassee around that feeling of community, with tubing and fishing and hiking available at everyone’s fingertips and with other things too, like their post-wedding after party around the campfire and a movie night under the stars. And when you combine a true wedding weekend in a place as serene as the mountains with other details that are personal and meaningful- my favorites were Mignon’s dress that she designed and made herself and their ultimate guest of honor, their sweet dog Blaze- you’re setting the scene for your own rules and your own lives. M & A, thank you for the loveliest example of doing just that. Endless love to you both! xo, Krista
