Last month, I spent a weekend in one of my favorite cities, Savannah. Annika and Zach met in law school several years ago and live in Valdosta but chose Savannah for their wedding… in fact, they were married just a few steps away from Lafayette Square (where Zach proposed) at the beautiful Cathedral of St. John the Baptist- the majestic church that sits watch over Savannah. In the week leading up to their wedding, Annika and I kept an eye on the weather forecast as it waffled between hurricane projections and rain, but when Saturday came, we had the bluest skies and the loveliest sunshine that came streaming through the oaks in Lafayette and Pulaski Squares. They exchanged vows in the Cathedral, we hopped on trolleys for photos around Savannah, skirted some film crews on Jones Street, and ended the evening at the Soho South Cafe with their friends and families and the best dance floor ever.
