The best days are the ones where love feels tangible, joy feels palpable, and the memory stays with you like magic. Elizabeth & George’s fall wedding was one of those days, and the loveliest part of it all? The best is still yet to come. ♡
It felt so good to jump back into weddings after the last year of uncertainty, and because I’m nostalgic to the end, it felt all the more meaningful that Elizabeth and George’s wedding was at the Dekalb History Center, where I photographed my very first wedding more than ten years ago(!). The ballroom was as beautiful as ever, with those soaring ceilings and the endless white marble and that perfect light that fills every corner of the room. We also had a perfect September day- from getting ready in a Virginia-Highland stunner of a home, to their First Look by the steps of the historic courthouse, made even sweeter by the letters they each read to each other before their ceremony. When you get to work with a couple like this, you can’t help but come away with a renewed appreciation for these best days and all they encompass. E + G, wishing you a million more best days and even better days than you can imagine. Love and happiness to you both! xo, Krista
